Anzac Day tomorrow

A reminder the Fruit and Vegetable Market will be closed tomorrow for the Anzac Day public holiday.

The following trading hours will apply for the Fruit and Vegetable Market:

• Wednesday 25 April: Closed
• Thursday 26 April: Normal trading hours

If your parking permit only allows access on a day where a public holiday falls, and you would like to come to the Market on an alternative adjacent day (for example your parking permit is for a Wednesday and you would like to access the Market on Thursday 26 April), you will not be charged for parking and can enter the Market. However please note, your regular bay may not be available. Please seek instruction from a Market Relations Officer on arrival.

Warehouse access remains unchanged. Access for warehouse tenants is 24 hours 7 days a week.

Mother’s Day campaign

In conjunction with Flowers Victoria and the Flower Association, the Melbourne Market has developed a fun marketing campaign communicating the key message of treating mum this Mother’s Day with a bunch of flowers.

There will be a pop up stand in the Flower Market this Thursday from 4:00am to purchase posters and gift cards for a gold coin.

Access card reminder

Thank you to all Market users who have paid their access card fees.

A quick reminder all access cards expire on Monday 30 April at 11.59pm and expired cards will be declined access to the Market.

Ensure you don’t experience any inconvenience by paying your access card prior to expiry.

Payment methods

1. Visit the Customer Service Centre between 4:00am and 11:00am and pay via cash, credit card or debit card*.
2. Pay online via the MMA website at www.melbournemarket.com.au/running-you-business/fees-and-payments.
3. Pay over the phone via credit card by phoning 03 9258 6123.
4. Pay via BPAY – look for the BPAY details on the bottom of your invoice.

Dandy Fresh update

An Advisory Committee hearing will take place on the 28 May to determine the fate of the planning permit granted for the Dandy Fresh project last year.

The Victorian Government halted the project due to discrepancies between the council’s management of green wedge land – which states the area has ‘limited development potential’ – and Intrapac’s proposal.

The hearing is expected to run for three days.
