Fire and sprinkler testing this week

Fire and sprinkler testing will take place in Level 1 office tenancies from tomorrow until Friday.

Entire Fire Services will be onsite from 8:00am to 4:00pm to conduct a short test in tenancies which will take less than a minute to complete.

There won’t be any disruption to businesses during this time.

Children in the Market wrap up

Warmer weather brought many children to the Market last week to discover and learn about what takes place here.

It was a successful couple of days and thank you to those family members who brought their children and ensured they remained safe at all times.

Stay tuned for information in the future about the next Children in the Market event in 2018.

LED lighting update

Work has commenced in the Fruit & Vegetable Trading Floor which is scheduled to be completed by next week.

All of the lighting has been replaced under the canopy at Loading Bay North and the results are impressive.

An aspect of the LED project includes an upgrade of the Market’s lighting control system.

Some areas have experienced a few glitches, including banks of lights turning off unexpectedly. This often occurs when the lighting profile has changed. However, experts are on site each morning to quickly resolve any issues that may arise.

Once work on the the Fruit & Vegetable Trading Floor is completed the upgrade on the Buyers’ Walk will commence.

Market Emergencies and Market Operations stickers

A reminder to place your Market Emergencies and Market Operations stickers on your forklift, electric vehicle, or in your store or stand.

These stickers list the numbers to call when there is an emergency or security issue in the Market.

If you place the stickers on your electric vehicle’s windscreen, make sure you avoid your direct line-of-sight and stick it on the bottom left or right hand corner.

If you haven’t received a sticker, they’re available at the Customer Service Centre for collection.
