Mother’s Day campaign packs available

In conjunction with Flowers Victoria and the Flower Association, the Melbourne Market has created a fun marketing campaign communicating the key message ‘treat mum this Mother’s Day’ using the hashtag #buyabunch.Campaign elements include:

·         Point of sale posters

·         Gift cards for flowers

·         Social Media – Facebook, Instagram

·         Market Fresh and Flowers Victoria Website

·         Radio Campaign

This is a great opportunity for all florists and growers to make this campaign successful.

We’d love the hashtag #buyabunch to go viral, so make sure you are following @flowersvic and @melbmarket on Instagram.

Share, like and hashtag in an effort to promote to your customers and the wider community that every mum deserves a bunch of flowers this Mother’s Day.

Collect your Mother’s Day posters, gift cards (gold coin) and marketing information pack in the Melbourne Market this Thursday 26 April from 4am or from the Customer Service Centre.

Site cleaning for Mother’s Day

The entire stand area has undergone a thorough clean prior to and in preparation for Mother’s Day trading.

This standard of cleaning will be maintained at a high level and will be conducted fortnightly to the entire floor.

Designated storage areas are available to accommodate Market users and cleaning needs.

For onsite storage of trolleys and display stands, please express your interest at the Customer Service Centre.

Overnight parking may be available upon request in bays F100 – F118. Please visit the Customer Service Centre for all parking and booking enquiries.

Did you know?

An ATM is available in the Flower Market’s Market Espresso Bar for your convenience.

Dandy Fresh update

An Advisory Committee hearing will take place on the 28 May to determine the fate of the planning permit granted for the Dandy Fresh project last year.

The Victorian Government halted the project due to discrepancies between the council’s management of green wedge land – which states the area has ‘limited development potential’ – and Intrapac’s proposal.

The hearing is expected to run for three days.
