Transfers of Stands in the NFC and Fruit and Vegetable Markets

If you hold a stand at the Melbourne Markets and you wish to transfer the stand rights to the stand to another person or business, you must complete an Application to Assign Licence. Both you and the person/ business that you are transferring the stand rights to, must complete and sign the Application Form.

The completed Application Form must be sent to the Authority’s Commercial and Legal Department.

Assignment of Lease

If you wish to assign your Lease of certain premises to another party, you must obtain an Application to Assign Lease from the Legal and Commercial Department.

Both you and the person/ company to whom you are transferring must fill out and sign the Application, and then return the completed Application to the Commercial and Legal Department. The Authority will then process the Application, and advise you of the relevant terms and conditions that have to be complied with prior to the Authority consenting to the assignment of the Lease.

Application to Sub-Lease a Lease

If you wish to sub-lease your premises to a third party, you must complete an Application to Sub-Lease and forward the completed Application to the Authority’s Legal and Commercial Department.

The Authority on receipt of the signed Application will notify you of its terms and conditions prior to the Authority approving the sub-lease
