Casual Stands 

To obtain a licence for a casual stand in the Fruit &Vegetable market you will need to: 

1. Complete an application form for approval as a Stand User.
2. Pay the casual registration fee (renewable annually in October).
3. Comply with the Food Safety legislation and requirements for growers.
4. Provide public liability for no less than $20 million, noting the Authority as an interested party.
5. Obtain a Melbourne Markets Access Card.
6. Pay a casual daily fee for a stand, or you could pre-book a causal stand from the cashier at the customer centre for up to two (2) months in advance.

To obtain a licence for a casual stand in the National Flower Centre you will need to: 

1. Complete an application form for approval as a Stand User.
2. Pay the casual registration fee (renewable annually in October).
3. Provide public liability for no less than $20 million, noting the Authority as an interested party.
4. Obtain a Melbourne Markets Access Card.
5. Pay a casual daily fee for a stand, or you could pre-book a causal stand from the cashier at the customer centre for up to a month in advance.

Subject to approval by the Authority, the casual stand holder can enter the market during allocated casual user entry times, through Gate 1.

Casual entry times are:
Fruit and Vegetable market - casual stand users
Monday                           2.00am
Tuesday & Wednesday 3.30am
Thursday & Friday         2.00am

NFC - casual stand users
Mon-Tue-Wed-Fri-Sat    3.30am
Thursday                        3.00am

Permanent Stands

To obtain a licence for a permanent stand in the Fruit &Vegetable market you will need to :

1. Complete an application form for approval as a Stand User.
2. Pay a registration fee and processing costs for preparation of Licence Agreements.
3. Once approved, obtain a stand from the Melbourne Market Authority's Legal/Commercial dept, or buy a stand from an existing grower.
4. Obtain a Melbourne Markets Access Card.

To obtain a licence for a permanent stand in the National Flower Centre you will need to :

1. Complete an application form for approval as a Stand User.
2. Pay a registration fee and processing costs for preparation of Licence Agreements.
3. Once approved, obtain a stand from the Melbourne Market Authority's Legal/Commercial dept.  Names of people wanting to sell or buy a stand from an existing grower are displayed on the NFC noticeboard.
4. Obtain a Melbourne Markets Access Card.
