In accordance with the Melbourne Market Authority By-Laws, all market users whilst on market land must wear a day/night reflective safety vest, have a valid access card or have permission from the Authority to be on market land. Failure to wear the safety vest or carry an access card will result in the person being issued with a By- Law Infringement Notice. The access card must be current, and you may be asked to produce your access card by a customer service officer or by other authorized officer of the Authority.
Safety Induction Course at the Melbourne Markets
A person applying for an access card for access into the Melbourne Markets must first,undertake and complete a short safety induction course about safety and other operating procedures at the Melbourne Markets. This induction course is compulsory and a person must complete the induction course before an access card is issued, otherwise the person will not be permitted entry into the market.
Safety Induction Course
The safety induction course is conducted by New Edge Training at the offices of Alcon Security situated in the western car park next to Market West Hire at the Melbourne Markets. The safety induction courses are run from Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 11.00am.
