National Flower Centre

The National Flower Centre (NFC) is a purpose-built facility home to Victoria’s floral industry. With approximately 60 stand holders, occupying 140 stands, the NFC supplies fresh flowers to over 700 floristry businesses across the state.

With Victorian growers producing around 40 per cent of the national market for cut flowers, the NFC is home to the largest range of fresh flowers which ensures variety and quality for the local florists who shop at the market.

The NFC is a wholesale market and was first established in 1996. Before this time, cut flowers were casually traded in the fruit and vegetable wholesale market. The development of the NFC enabled growers to have a permanent stand and specifically designed coolrooms to ensure optimum quality for sale throughout Victoria, Australia and overseas export.

Today we bring you some of the freshest flowers from growers of the NFC. Although the NFC is a wholesale market, you can purchase fresh, high-quality florals like the ones you see on show today at your local florist.
