At Crown Palladium on Saturday, 27 February around 800 guests gathered together from all sectors of the fruit, vegetable and flower industry in celebrating the market community and enjoying a night of entertainment with their families, friends and colleagues.
The evening was themed as “A Night at the Opera” and entertainment was provided by the String Selection, the hilarious Three Waiters and the lively dance music of popular Melbourne band, DejaVu. The MC for the evening was Stuart Gregor, one of Australia's leading presenters.
Introduced by MC Stuart Gregor, MMA Chairman Neil Lowe warmly welcomed guests and gave recognition with the presentation of gold pins to those who have achieved 40 Years of continuous service to the industry this year.
Victorian Minister for Major Projects, the Hon. Tim Pallas announced the 2009-10 retail award winners and trophies were presented to Scicluna’s of Mentone as the Metropolitan Retailer of the Year and the Regional prize went to Lean & Green, Warragul.
