3 year Corporate Plan

The Melbourne Market completed a once in a generation move to a new facility in August 2015 which signified more than just a new building. It was a new opportunity for the industry and its participants in a rapidly changing sector. An opportunity to expand its role of being an asset of state significance to potentially a food hub of international significance.

Consistent with the focus of the Victorian Food and Fibre Sector Strategy, the Melbourne Market Authority aims to attract more ideas and investment, help businesses innovate and grow, capture market opportunities, develop our infrastructure, and improve the business environment.

In drafting the Melbourne Market Authority’s (MMA) Corporate Plan, we consider this focus of the Sector Strategy directly relatable to the Market environment and this is evident in the strategies and actions articulated in the document.

This Corporate Plan highlights where our efforts and investments will be focused. Based on an in-depth understanding of the external environment, including international demand for Australian produce and the future direction of the central market, the Plan includes the financial projections for the next three years with the strategic objectives, deliverables, initiatives and projects to be undertaken.
