Access card common expiry – what you need to know

To streamline processes for your business at the Melbourne Market, all access cards have a common annual expiry date of 30 April. This common annual expiry date applies to all access cards, regardless of the month they were issued.

Over the next week, all business principals will receive a letter from the MMA listing all active access cards linked currently to their business. Using the form included in the letter, business principals are required to advise the MMA if any access cards need to be removed from their business (due to employee turnover for instance) to ensure access card renewal invoices are accurate when issued. Forms must be returned no later than 21 February.

Chinese New Year – Lion Dance 31 January 2017

Saturday 28 January is Chinese New Year. 2017 is the year of the Rooster and once again, the Market will be celebrating with a traditional lion dance on Tuesday 31 January.

Keep your eyes out for the lion between 5.30 and 6.00am in the Flower Market!

We would like to remind all Market users that only a licenced pyrotechnician who has received relevant approvals may discharge firecrackers. Market users are not permitted to discharge firecrackers on Market grounds at any time.
