It features step-by-step navigation and maps to help you find locations around the Market, including stores, stands, warehousing, and parking bays.
The app also features a comprehensive business directory to help make your visits to the Market quick, easy and efficient.
How do I install the app?
The Melbourne Market Navigator is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
Install the app on your smartphone or tablet in three simple steps:
- Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play sites. You’ll need an account to download the app.
- Search for ‘Melbourne Market Navigator’.
- Select and then ‘Install’. The app is free.
If you get a prompt asking for the app to access your location – select ‘yes’.
For the app to work properly, you’ll need to let the app access your location and activate Bluetooth.
There are Bluetooth beacons throughout the Market’s undercover areas. When you are in range of a beacon, your location will be marked with a blue dot.
Once you are out of range of the beacons, the app will find your location using your phone/tablet’s GPS and will mark your location with a green dot.

Finding your way around
If you are a store or stand holder and want to deliver produce to a retailer’s parking bay, all you need to know is their parking bay number. This is something you should ask them as part of any transaction requiring delivery to a parking bay.
Click on ‘search’ and key in the retailer’s parking bay number.
If you are at the Market, the app will automatically work out your location. If you are not at the Market or in GPS range, key in your start location, for example, your store or stand number.
A map will appear showing you the quickest forklift route to get to the parking bay. You can either follow the step-by-step directions, or look at an overview of the map and plan your route.
If you are a retailer coming into the Market, you have got a couple of options to find the store or stand you are looking for.
Click on ‘Business Directory’, and choose to search by business name or business location. Then select the type of business and scroll through the list.
You can also use the ‘search’ button to find a store or stand by name or number.

Using the comprehensive Business Directory
Use the app’s Business Directory to learn more about businesses across the Market. For example, use the search function to locate your supplier’s store or stand.
By selecting ‘Melbourne Market Support Services’ you can get information on the location of recycling stations, letterboxes, forklift storage, the LPG stations and customer service.
Another key feature is the ‘Amenities’ tab, which shows you the location of services such as parking, lifts, phones, bathrooms, and security.
Return to the homepage at any time by selecting the ‘featured’ tab at the bottom left of the screen.
